Attention all file uploaders and anyone else who cares about the future of this website. I took some time last week and earlier this weekend to evaluate the status of the site and I came up with several ideas that I want to run past everyone.
First up is the how the uploading process works or lack of. Currently there are two ways too get content onto the website; either by FTP or via an upload script which people have stated that it doesn't always work. What I propose is to do the following.

Noticed a security issue that needs to be corrected that would impact Shadowhaxor.net and Theouterhaven.net. I am going to be taking the main file server down to correct the issue.
I expect about 5-10 minutes of downtime will I make the corrections. Thanks!
Currently there is a storage issue on one of the servers that is preventing me from adding any new uploads from the past 2-3 days. I am currently working on this issue however it may be another day before I can get this sorted.
That said any uploads that have been submitted are still safe but they haven't been offset to the storage locations as of yet.
Once I have a new update or corrected the issue I will post about the status.
As some of you may or may not be aware, I am moving the secondary server of the site to new hardware which also involves changing the IP addresses and DNS entries. Due to this you may experience dead links until this is completed.
I should have it all done by the end of the week however after that time if you still have issues please contact myself or one of the site moderators.
5-19-2012: the primary drive on the file server started throwing errors. I attempted to correct this however it ended up being more than I suspected and eventually the primary drive failed to come responsive.
5-20-2012: I drove down to the data center to pull the server so I could assess the damage to pull and content that I could to rebuild the drive and recreate the original structure. Not to mention I had a 102 degree fever.....
5-21-2012: I am still in the process of rebuilding the server however I'm also looking at the concept of adding either a 1 or 2TB drive for additional download space, however I am lacking on funds to do it currently, so if anyone wants to help the donation button is on the site.
Other than wanting more drive space and if things go right the server will be back in place as of 5-22-2012, however I don't know when since I don't get off of work until 3PM.
